Things To Do
Covell's Beach is a haven for those who want some quiet. This doesn't mean though that Covell's Beach isn't a fun place to be at. Although it is a beach where you can enjoy some semblance of summer privacy, you can also look out for beach games to join. Covell's Beach is a favorite of town residents and the soft sand is kept free of rocks, shells and other debris for organized games. If you feel the need for some sweat and a fun work-out, you can join in a fast round of beach volleyball at the farther ends of the beach. Dunking yourself afterwards in the warm waters of Covell's Beach will feel so refreshing.
Summertime means crowds, especially at the nearby Craigville Beach. If you want more company, you can also visit Craigville Beach and join the activities being held there. Aside from swimming, kite-surfing is another popular thing you can do. If you want to soak up a bit of history, Hyannis Port can be seen from Covell's Beach. You can walk all the way there to see John F. Kennedy's home, but take note that getting there will be a rather long walk. Also, there is an old-fashioned general store near Covell's Beach that you might find entertaining.
All these means you can have all the relaxation and downtime you want at Covell's Beach while still managing to find enjoyable activities to indulge in.
