Like most beaches, Covell's Beach has its peak time during the summer. Since it is a smaller beach than the neighboring Craigville Beach, it doesn't have the full amenities of Craigville Beach. You don't have to worry though, because Covell's Beach definitely has the basic needs covered.

Parking at Covell's Beach requires a resident sticker. If you're not a local, you can buy a temporary resident sticker from the town of Barnstable, or avail of those at the Kennedy Rink in Hyannis. The parking lot is free after 4:30 pm, and on weekdays after the summer season.

If you have children with you, you don't have to worry about their safety. Covell's Beach has a staff of lifeguards on duty for the summer. There are outdoor showers and restrooms for you to use, too. Beach chairs can also be rented out. If you want to grab a bite, there are some places you can get snacks from near Covell's Beach, or you can opt to go to Craigville Beach to eat.

Food is never far away from Covell's Beach. You can venture onto Craigville Beach Road and visit some of the popular stops, like Four Seas Ice Cream, rumored to be one of Cape Cod's best ice cream parlors. There's also the Craigville General Store and Craigville Sub, Pizza and Mexican. If you go a little further from Covell's Beach, Main Street in Hyannis has a Ben & Jerry's along with several other restaurants, bars and coffee shops. So dig in and enjoy!
