Directions

Getting to Covell's Beach is easy enough, as it is found on Craigville Beach Road in Barnstable itself.

From the town of Falmouth, take route 28 toward Centerville/Hyannis. At the lights in Centerville, make a right onto Old Stage Road all the way past the Centerville Fire Station.

From Route 6 heading West, find the mid-Cape Highway and take route 6 to exit 6/Barnstable-Hyannis. If you were heading west on 6 (from Dennis, Harwich, Orleans), you'll see a set of lights across from a Burger King. From there, turn left onto Iyanough Road. But if you were heading east on 6 (from route 149 or from the bridge), you'll reach a stop sign. Turn right onto Iyanough Road. After Iyanough Road, make another right onto Shoot Flying Hill Road. Shoot Flying Hill Road meets Old Stage Road. Turn left onto Old Stage and follow past the lights at route 28, then past the fire station.

From Route 6 heading East, find the mid-Cape Highway and take route 6 to exit 5/route 149 West Barnstable. Turn left off the ramp onto route 149 and make an immediate left onto the Service Road. Take the first right onto Old Stage Road. When you reach the stop, turn left then right as the road curves at Oak Street. Old Stage Road is also called Centerville-West Barnstable Road here. Follow this until you reach the lights at route 28, then past the fire station.

For all routes, follow these directions after going past the fire station: Old Stage Road becomes Main Street. You'll see another set of lights. Follow this through and you'll be on Craigville Beach Road. Go on Craigville Beach Road around and over a bridge. The entrance to Craigville Beach is on the right. Continue past the Craigville Beach parking lot and you'll see the Covell's Beach entrance.
